Iron Dog Fundraiser

Don Redick and Rob Robinson will be teaming up to compete in the 2012 Alaska National Guard Iron Dog Race. This will be their first year racing the Iron Dog as a team.

Don and Rob will be racing the Irondog to raise money towards Cystic Fibrosis. Rob Robinson has dedicated much of his time towards Cystic Fibrosis and he is the Vice President of the Brianna Gregory Foundation. All money raised will stay in Alaska to help children in need.

For 2012, Don and Rob are preparing themselves for the ride of their lives.

Meet The Team

Don is 33 years old, was born and raised in Alaska. He now resides in Wasilla with his 5 children; Katriece, Tristan, Lacey, Kendyl, and Dylan. Don is a Project Manager for Nana construction.

When Don is not working you can find him spending as much time as possible with his family in Alaska’s outdoors. Don is an avid outdoors man who is always looking to tackle the next challenge and is looking forward to raising money for a good cause.

Rob is 40 years old. He is married to Heather and has two children Devin and Brooklyn. Rob is a Dentist in Wasilla. Rob is a long time Valley resident an he truly loves to spend time outdoors.

In the summer you can find him on the water or at the cabin. In the winter you can bet he is riding his sled. Rob is looking forward to raising as much money as possible for Alaska children.

By becoming a sponsor of our team, your logo can go on all of our coats, helmets, trailers, sleds, and clothing at race events. Sizes and placement depending on the level of support of our team. You will not only be represented at events, but also whenever we practice. We practice 3-4 days a week all over the state of Alaska and other venues we attend throughout the year, including after the race.

What it costs to race in the Iron Dog

$42,400   4 Performance snow machines, 2 for practicing, and 2 for race day.
 
$12,000   Parts & Accessories to prepare and keep the snow machines in working condition for the 2,000 mile trek.
 
$5,000   Airplane to follow you with spare parts.
 
$7,500   Gas and Oil for transportation and practicing.
 
$4,000   Extreme cold weather gear rated to 50 below.
 
$6,060   Entry Fee
