Murder Mystery FAQs

Does everyone have to “play a part” or can they just go for dinner and watch?

There are Suspects and there are Witnesses. Suspects often have important roles and an obligation to “play out” their part. Witnesses, on the other hand, may participate (or not) to the extent that they are comfortable, and not affect the solution to the murder/mystery. The cost is the same for all.

Does everyone have to come in costume?

It is preferable that guests arrive in costumes. Suspects MUST be in costume. Try the thrift shops for vintage clothing, old costumes, etc. Check ebay and the internet for costume ideas, or check into renting a costume in Anchorage.

If someone were to pay by check, should it be made out to the Foundation? Can you take credit card payments?

Checks should be made out to “Brianna Gregory Foundation” or “BGF.” We can also take credit cards, but prefer cash or checks, to save us the bank fees for processing the credit card.

What if I sign up now, but have to back out later?

Tickets for our Dinner events are non-refundable, however, if you must cancel for any reason please contact us as soon as possible. If you cancel more than two weeks prior to the event, we may be able to discount tickets to one of our future events. Remember that your purchases are tax deductible, as we are a 501c3 Non-profit Corporation.

Can I bring my kids?

Our Dinner events are for “adults only.” Most of the time our seating is limited, and usually there is a cash bar for those who would like a cocktail. Occasionally we may lower the age to 18 and over. Please check with the Foundation to be certain if you have any questions.
